I spent a lovely couple of days in east London at the Clapton Country Club last month. It's the first time I'd visited this unique spot, repurposed from its original tram stop roots into a wedding venue by its owners for their own wedding.
There are so many things to appreciate about this place. It's easy for your guests to get to, being right around the corner from Clapton overground station. You can have your full civil ceremony there, or you can celebrate your love with a non-legally binding, symbolic ceremony. It's also utterly charming, with two separate event spaces that combine original brickwork with wooden panelling and plenty of greenery, The venue's catering also has a big focus on sustainability, which is a big green flag for me.
I'm so proud to be a recommended supplier at Clapton Country Club, and I'm among fantastic company in that regard. Find out all about this gorgeous venue here.
One of the difficult things about making wedding cakes is waiting to hear how much my clients enjoyed their creation. One of the wonderful things about wedding fairs is that dopamine hit of instant feedback from delighted lovers tasting my cake canapés. The joy! The facial expressions! The noises! Ahhh, I love it.
If you missed out, remember you can always get your hands on cake by post right here. And remember to keep an eye on your emails for where I'm popping up next!
